This was actually a mutual meeting of the minds. He wasn't "dropped." Taylor wanted to go independent and this is much better for him. I'm looking forward to a great his way his music CD from him due out this year. Way to go, Taylor.

His next album will be fabulous without the strangle-hold of Clive Davis. Thanks Taylor for this gift to your fans. Next time around we will get that velvet soul voice as it should have been heard the first time. Can't wait!

This is the BEST thing that could have happened to Taylor. Now, let the creative juices flow, Taylor!!

I am THRILLED with this news. Finally, Clive Davis will have NO INPUT on Taylor's next CDs -- or anything else for that matter.

Taylor would have wasted three more years of his musical life being tied down to a machine that did not properly promote his debut CD. In spite of the dissing and non-promotion, he managed to sell over 800,000 CDs worlwide so far and became an instant hit in Asia/Phillipines -- and again, the U.S. media didn't report a word of him being in Asia and all the success he garnered there, except for his wonderful hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.

Thanks for the gift Taylor -- we support you all the way and can't wait for YOUR new music!!
