He's the actor from smallville.

Yeah, he plays Clark on Smallville. He also played Charlie Baker in Cheaper By the Dozen (1 and 2) and was the lead actor in the Fog.

True (well, if you don't count Supergirl or Satisfaction), but the movie did surprisingly well it's first week of release due mostly to the presence of Tom Welling. :-)
