haha. I guess you can look at it that way.
I know me personally, I would vote for a similar story if the new one has a better description or better picture than the older one.

But mara is right. I will try to add the feature to alert the user if a similar story has already been submitted.

Okay...but take for instance Dotspotter...they have tons of the same story but it's told the same way. SO you are saying you are going to take away the option totally and only have one way of telling a story???

No. more like just letting them know that certain stories look similar and they should be aware. Submitting the same story 12 different times from 12 different sites doesn't accomplish a whole lot. But if they feel their story is better than the one submitted, they can submit a similar one. But ultimately the site users will decide its fate anyway.

As far as dotspotter. .. it would be cool to hear your take about that site compared to this one after you get used to it for awhile. Or even your initial impressions if some things seem confusing. User feedback leads to a better functioning website
