    According to the Associated Press, Joc was released Monday on $50,000 bond, but after his failure to appear in court today, that amount was doubled to $100,000.

    Yung Joc's attorney, Stanley Jackson Jr., apologized and said that Joc, who claims he didn't know the gun was in his luggage, could not make the court date because he was away due to personal and family obligation.

    Municipal Judge Michael John Ryan was apparently unmoved, doubling the rapper's bond and chastising Jackson for his client's failure to appear.

    Assistant prosecutor Gayle Williams said she will request a warrant for the rapper.

    Over the weekend, dozens of celebrity gossip Web sites posted articles about the comment, many saying that Smith believed that Hitler was a "good" person.

    "It is an awful and disgusting lie," Smith said in a statement Monday provided by his publicist. "It speaks to the dangerous power of an ignorant person with a pen. I am incensed and infuriated to have to respond to such ludicrous misinterpretation."

    Jay-z is heavily criticized for what he doesn't do at Def Jam. Artists such as LL Cool J have blamed him for not doing enough for their projects but selectively ignored the fact he signed Ne-Yo, Rihanna, and Young Jeezy...three of the most successful acts out of the last 3-4 years in all of music.

    It's bad for Def Jam IMO because no one is going to be able to fill his shoes.

    Chris Stokes has released a statement in response to this already

    “The accusations that Demario “Raz B” Thorton and Ricardo Thorton have made are vehemently false and hold no merit. I have recently stopped financially supporting both individuals along with assisting them with their criminal and legal matters which leads me to believe they are resentful and looking to benefit financially from this. My family is my first priority and the reason why I have been so supportive of them. In bringing these false claims, they have not only slandered me, they have also put me in a position to ensure that the truth is known and I will take all legal routes to protect myself, my family and my four children,” said Chris Stokes, CEO of The Ultimate Group.

    “It’s also quite ironic that these statements were made only 2 weeks after they were denied admittance by a venue for an event I hosted in Beverly Hills,” added Stokes.
